CEC Welcomes Emily Weaver as a policy intern

Emily Weaver is a junior at Rice University studying Social Policy Analysis, with a focus on Environmental Studies. She is interested in the way that communities exist with and are affected by the environment, and the way that policy can address issues related to environmental justice. She enjoys taking a variety of classes focusing on sociology, anthropology, environmental science, and research methods. At Rice, she works on research projects at the intersection of environment and social justice.

Outside of school, Emily loves cooking, working at Rice’s student-run coffee shop, spending time outside, watching movies, reading a variety of books, and spending time with her roommates (including 2 cats). After graduation, she hopes to attend graduate school in the field of environmental studies.
