Houston City Council Agenda – July 16, 2019

The City will consider the following agenda items at the Houston City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 16, 2019, in the City Hall Chamber at 1:30 PM (public comment) and at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, July 17, 2019. Of special note is Agenda Item 19, an ordinance approving and authorizing a consent decree regarding the City’s Sanitary Sewer System, committing to improvements to the City of Houston’s Sanitary Sewer System.  The agenda also includes multiple ordinances seeking appropriations out of the Water & Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund for various projects.

Agenda Item 8 is a recommendation from the Director of Houston Public Works for the approval of a $991,734.06 contract with RESICOM, INC. for the Cleaning and Grubbing Work Order for Large Diameter Water Lines. 

Agenda Items 12, 13, and 14 are bids regarding Houston Public Works and the Solid Waste Management Department. 

Agenda Item 19 is an ordinance approving and authorizing consent decree regarding the City’s Sanitary Sewer System, committing to improvements to the City of Houston’s Sanitary Sewer System. 

Agenda Item 30 is an ordinance to de-appropriate $3,900,407.30 and appropriate $7,601,471.25 out of Water & Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund to provide funding for contingencies and CIP Cost Recovery relating to construction of facilities financed by the Water & Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund. 

Agenda Item 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35 are ordinances granting six companies the right to collect, haul, and transport solid and industrial waste from commercial properties located in the City of Houston. These six companies include ADK Septic Services, LLC a Texas Limited Liability Company, Oeste Waste, Inc, a Texas Corporation, Jorge Vela d/b/a, South Building Services, a Texas Sole Proprietorship, Southeast Texas AAA Vacuum Truck, Porta Can Services, LLC, a Texas Limited Liability Company, and Williamson Waste Services, LLC D/B/A Redbox+ of Southeast Houston and Galveston County, a Texas Limited Liability Company.
