HOUSTON AND GLOBAL WARMING TUESDAY

CEC’s annual meeting on Tuesday, April 24, will feature a presentation on the effect of global warming on Houston. Dr. Barry Lefer, atmospheric scientist and assistant professor in geophysics at University of Houston, and LaVerne Williams, a local pioneer in green architecture, will make presentations about the global and local effects of atmospheric warming.

TELL HOUSTON PARKS DEPARTMENT WHAT YOU WANT

The Houston Parks and Recreation Department is revising the Parks Master Plan which will guide future development. The department will hold a series of forums from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on the dates below to encourage citizens to discuss their perceptions of parks and recreation and their priorities for parks, services, indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and open spaces.
