You are invited to attend all of CEC’s Film Selection Viewing Parties for the January 2018 Wild and Scenic Film Festival On Tour! Help us select from almost 60 films this year. Drop by the CEC office to watch 4-5 short films and share your thoughts with us. You can choose to attend one or all viewing parties. When you attend a viewing party, we will provide you with a link to watch all films online for free. Contact marina@cechouston.org with any questions and to be added to the email list.
This workshop is for landowners, real estate professionals, attorneys, advisors, natural resource professionals, and city or county officials to learn about conservation easements and land preservation.

We invite you to join us at the 2018 W&SFF On Tour to be held at the historic River Oaks Theatre, where up to 450 patrons each night will enjoy about ten short films each night highlighting the latest environmental issues. We selected films that showcase the links between beauty, environment, adventure, quality of life, and action.
By showing these films, CEC is working to connect individuals and organizations to create a stronger Gulf Coast environmental community.

What is QuailMasters?
A series of intensive, hands-on training sessions designed to expose participants to the best of the best quail habitat in the state of Texas and make them ‘masters’ of the art and science of quail management. Quail-Masters will enhance your decision-making skills relative to 3 phases of quail management.

QuailMasters is a prestigious, intensive program, and we expect 110% of our participants. As a ‘fledgling’ QuailMaster, you will be expected to attend all four sessions of the Quail-Masters program.

Topics include: Emerald Ash Borer – Coming to a City Near You, Using Tree Growth Regulators to Reduce Pruning Costs, and Greening the Houston Region – Partnerships and Projects that Support the Urban Forest.
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour is returning to the Bayou City on January 29, 2021. Hosted for the seventh straight year by the Citizens’ Environmental Coalition, this ever-popular film fest will be a virtual experience.
The January festival is just one of many offerings as part of the Houston Green Film Series. The lineup in January features national and international films that awe and inspire action to protect and preserve our environment. The festival also provides a broader audience for us to share three winners of the Wild About Houston Film Festival that highlight local environmental treasures and initiatives.
The auction has some GREAT items in 2021, including a pontoon boat ride through Armand Bayou Nature Center, a private cistern tour from Buffalo Bayou Partnership, custom art made by an ambassador animal at the Delores Fenwick Nature Center in Pearland and a private tour of Deer Park Prairie with Native Prairies Association of Texas. Bidding is open on this Google Form through February 1 at noon.
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour is returning to Houston on January 29, 2022. Hosted by the Citizens’ Environmental Coalition, this year’s film fest will be a hybrid event, taking place both online and in person at MATCH to accommodate everyone’s COVID safety preferences.
