Houston City Council Agenda – November 16, 2016
The city will consider the following agenda items at the November 16, 2016, Houston City Council Meeting.
- 3 – Authorize payment to Texas Commission on Environmental Quality totaling $1.7 million for the annual Consolidated Water Quality fee for the City’s wastewater treatment plants.
- 33 – Ordinance appropriating $77,000 out of Parks & Recreation Dedication Fund for the completion of a construction project for Willow Waterhole, a Harris County Flood Control District detention basin complex. This project is funded in part through a Coastal Impact Assistance Program of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services. The project will construct concrete trails, install a planting bed for prairie vegetation, and 15 trees at the new outdoor classroom area.
- 38 – The Department of Public Works and Engineering is requesting that an ordinance be passed for the new/replacement groundwater well – district 203 project which will provide assessment, evaluation, and installation of groundwater wells to increase or maintain water production capacity and is necessary to provide reliability of the City’s water system.
- 43 – Ordinance appropriating $487,000 out of Water & Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund for the design and construction of the substitute sewer service project in the Old Sixth Ward. The project consists of upgrades to the public sanitary sewer system, including private sanitary sewer reconnections and utility abandonment.
