TCEQ Agenda Meeting – July 28, 2021

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality will consider the following agenda items at the meeting scheduled for Wednesday, July 28, 2021, which can be viewed virtually starting at 9:30 AM. The Commission will review petitions for enforcement actions and permit considerations; as well as Agreed and Default Orders on issues regarding hazardous waste, waste disposal, water discharge, water supply, water quality, and air quality (among others). Public comments on any matters within the jurisdiction of the TCEQ will also be allowed. Registration for public comments at the agenda meeting will conclude at 9:30AM and will require participants to join the meeting through webinar with the ID 264-324-395.

  • Item 6: Consideration of an Agreed Order assessing administrative penalties, for air quality violations, and requiring certain actions of Ascend Performance Materials Texas Inc. in Brazoria County.
  • Item 7: Consideration of an Agreed Order assessing administrative penalties, for air quality violations, and requiring certain actions of BP Amoco Chemical Company in Galveston County.
  • Item 12: Consideration of an Agreed Order assessing administrative penalties, for water quality violations, and requiring certain actions of the City of Sugar Land in Fort Bend County. Violations pertained to permitted effluent limitations for pH, E. coli, ammonia nitrogen, and total residual chlorine. Penalties of $28,125 were assessed, with $5,265 being deferred for expedited settlement, and the remaining $22,500 being applied to wastewater collection system improvements as part of an approved Supplemental Environmental Project (SEP).
  • Item 13: Consideration of an Agreed Order assessing administrative penalties, for water quality violations, and requiring certain actions of the City of Deer Park in Harris County.
