CEC Welcomes Hannah Guyton as an Environmental Policy and Communications Intern
Hannah Guyton is a graduate student pursuing a Master of Global Affairs at Rice University. She is particularly interested in environmental and energy policy, sustainability, and environmental justice and advocacy. Hannah ventures to understand how governments handle environmental policy and she fights for justice by making environmental subjects accessible to the public.
In addition to her studies, Hannah is part of Rice’s Graduate Student Association Sustainability Committee and works at Space Center Houston. She holds a B.A. in Communication and Minor in Business Administration from Texas A&M University. While an undergraduate at Texas A&M, Hannah volunteered with Citizens’ Climate Lobby and now hopes to continue her environmental advocacy through her time with CEC.
In her free time, Hannah loves to bike through her neighborhood and local parks, run with her dog Jax, and watch Astros baseball. Some of her favorite places in nature include the ocean and the Texas Hill Country. She is always seeking a new place to watch a spectacular sunset.
Hannah is very excited to join the CEC Team and use this opportunity to make a positive impact on the environmental community. She can be reached at hannah.guyton@cechouston.org
