    After losing their boat to a deliberately lit fire in July, the Buffalo Bayou Partnership is once again offering boat cruises. Their new vessel is called The Spirit of the Bayou. The partnership offers tours to see another side of Houston.

    Houston’s bayous give the city diversity in its greenery and wildlife. They are habitats for a wide array of birds, butterflies, frogs turtles, and mammals. The plants that can be found in the bayous include cattails and bulrushes with trees such as oaks and cypresses. Unfortunately, much of the bayou area is diminishing due to recent urbanization.

    NRG Energy Inc. is helping Houston become more friendly to electric cars. NRG said it will spend 10 million dollars for charging stations around Houston to make sure electrical vehicle ownership is fun, affordable, and convenient.
