By Ella Tyler I was more than a little surprised to see a large display promoting the ‘greenness’ of Fiji bottled water at the grocery store. The display explained that Fiji will be carbon negative by 2010, it’s bottled in a better kind of plastic, and the company is helping save the Fijian rain forest.
The the Kirby, Woodway, Wilcrest or Bellaire Whole Foods stores are donating 5% of sales on Wednesday June 18th to Urban Harvest.
The Sierra Club is going berry picking on Saturday, June 21, and you are invited. The group will spend the morning berry picking at family-owned orchards in the Houston area such as BlackberriesofHouston.com, Matt’s Family Orchard, or Moorhead’s Blueberries.
