The Brays Bayou Association will meet Monday, May 19, at 7:30 pm at Chase Bank at 11310 Chimney Rock. Councilmember M. J. Khan, chair of the Flood and Drainage Issues Committee, will speak about plans to update Houston’s ordinances regarding storm water design and storm water quality.
As the new state process for identifying and preserving flowing rivers and freshwater inflows into Texas coastal bays and estuaries finally gets underway, the Lone Star Chapter of the Sierra Club has scheduled two forums to inform local citizens about the process and how they may monitor or participate in the process for their respective bay and river basin.
Jesse H. Jones Park and Nature center hosts nature camps each summer. The four-day (Tuesday through Friday) camps feature a variety of themed nature subjects.
