The Citizens’ Environmental Coalition’s weekly email publication, Environmental News Update, will be receiving the Park People’s Media Award in recognition of outstanding media coverage of parks, open space and recreational issues.
CEC’S tenth annual Synergy Awards were presented at a luncheon at the Houstonian Hotel on Monday, November 5. Mayor Bill White, who received the Synergy Government Award, made a short speech, congratulating the environmental successes in Houston and the true synergy represented at the awards luncheon.
The White Oak Bayou Association’s 19th annual meeting will be Wednesday, November 14, at the historic Heights Fire Station, on 12th street between Yale and Heights Blvd.
