By Ella Tyler I used to love writer David L. Lindsay’s thrillers set in Houston, in no small part because of the way he describes the city. His descriptions of the city’s Museum District are so lush and verdant that I felt cooler just reading them.
Each year, the CEC honors individuals and groups in the greater Houston area with our Synergy Award. The awards celebrate cooperative action – where the whole is greater than any of its parts.
Chris Bell, a former member of Congress and a three-term at-large member of the Houston City Council, will be the speaker at the CEC Leadership Luncheon on Thursday, September 20. Bell’s topic will be “How To Work With Elected Officials.â€
