By Ella Tyler I have decided that the book “The Formation and Future of the Upper Texas Coast: A Geologist Answers Questions about Sand, Storms, and Living by the Sea†by Rice professor John B. Anderson is required reading for any one who cares about our coast.
The CEC is holding a luncheon featuring a panel of speakers about providing employee benefits in small nonprofits on Thursday, August 23, from 11:30 am to 1 pm.
Each year, the CEC honors individuals and groups in the greater Houston area with our Synergy Award. The awards celebrate cooperative action – where the whole is greater than any of its parts. This year, the awards will be presented at a luncheon at the Houstonian on Monday, November 5.
