The Houston Parks Board is seeking a Conservation Technician who, under the direction of the Conservation and Maintenance Director and the Conservation Manager, will coordinate activities within the Bayou Greenways 2020 Conservation and Maintenance program. This position involves hands-on work in restoring and maintaining natural areas and landscape resources, and requires knowledge of plant/animal ecosystems and landscape techniques. Buffalo Bayou Partnership seeks Conservation Technician

Under the direct supervision of the Conservation Manager, the Conservation Technician assists with the restoration and enhancement of Buffalo Bayou Park’s native landscape and riparian areas. He/she works cooperatively with other Conservation Technicians, the park’s Volunteer Coordinator, Zone Supervisors and grounds crew.

The Houston Parks Board is seeking a Conservation Technician to coordinate activities within the Bayou Greenways 2020 Conservation and Maintenance program. This position involves hands-on work in restoring and maintaining natural areas and landscape resources, therefore it requires knowledge of plant/animal ecosystems and landscape techniques. Among these activities are train all seasonal technicians regarding HPB Conservation projects and on-going efforts; natural resource management tasks, such as herbicide control of invasive species; and working collaboratively in the field with volunteers and contractors on conservation projects.
