Galveston Bay Foundation seeks Advocacy Programs Manager

The Galveston Bay Foundation is seeking an Advocacy Programs Manager to lead its efforts in executing diverse programs that engage community members as active participants in the health of Galveston Bay. The position manages important advocacy and outreach programs and campaigns, particularly those aimed at evaluating the health of Galveston Bay and ensuring Galveston Bay waters are fishable and swimmable. The position is heavily focused on water quality initiatives aimed at reducing fecal bacteria from both point and non-point sources. The Advocacy Manager must maintain broad, current knowledge of the water quality issues of Galveston Bay to inform and guide the direction of programs and be poised to respond to immediate and acute threats to Galveston Bay’s water health, including man-made and natural disasters. As a leader on GBF’s Advocacy and Outreach team, the Manager helps plan and guide programming, administers grant funding, and oversees community engagement staff.
