If you are a natural area manager, private lands program officer, or conservation planner, then you will be interested in the new grassland habitat management models from the GCPO LCC-sponsored project “Grassland Habitat Management for Diverse Taxa and Stakeholders,” recently completed by Dr. Conor McGowan of Auburn University/USGS Co-op Unit and and Eric Lonsdorf of Franklin & Marshall College.  Why? Because these new models incorporate data from non-avian animal species as well as economic and cost considerations. The models can be used to help maximize the cost effectiveness of grassland management for diverse taxa and stakeholders. They will be made available through the GCPO LCC Conservation Planning Atlas.
