The Hiking Dead-A Zombie Apocalypse Hike

Find out if you have what it takes to survive the zombie apocalypse on a 1 mile hike along the Pineywoods Nature Trail Boardwalk with Ranger Joel. They will stop at various points during the hike and roll dice to see if food, water, shelter, and space can be found.  Learn about the daily fight for survival woodlands creatures face in an entertaining and fun way.  There will be no actual zombies or people dressed as zombies, but feel free to dress as your favorite character from the Walking Dead.

This hike will be conducted on the Piney Woods Boardwalk Nature Trail and can be completed in 1 hour. The trail is a 1 mile loop and is wheelchair and stroller accessible, leashed pets welcome.

They recommend bringing a bottle of water and wearing comfortable, flat shoes when participating in any activity. Restrooms are available at the Headquarters, Activity Center, Marina, and in each camping loop.

Regular park admission fees of $5 per adult ages 13 and up apply; no additional charge for activities. No reservations necessary.
