Spring Into Nature Spring Break Camp
Now that winter camp is over, our attention turns towards Spring Into Nature Spring Break Camp. This camp for grades 4-6 the week of March 14-18 focuses on birds. Campers will use binoculars and field guides to observe birds in their natural habitat. Registration begins February 15 at the Eddie V. Gray Wetlands Center. The cost is $125.
Along with preparing for spring break camp, we are also announcing plans for Wade Into Wetlands Summer Science Camp and are excited to bring you more camp options! This year we will be hosting two weeks of half-day camps at the Baytown Nature Center. The first one, “Wilderness Survival,†for grades 5-6 only meets in the evening from 6-10 pm. Shelter building, nocturnal animals, fire making, and tracking are just a few of the fun topics to be explored. The second half-day camp “Nature Friends†for grades 1-3 is full of fun, hands-on activities for your young naturalist. It meets Monday-Friday from 8 am-12 pm.
