Sewing 101 Workshop

Reuse/Repair: Sewing 101 Workshop event – UH Student Center South, Astrodome Room 257. Whether you just ripped your favorite pants or want to breathe new life into an old article of clothing, this workshop has something for you! Learn the basics of sewing by hand or with a machine to patch holes and fix rips, or experiment with embroidery to add words and images to T-shirts, bags, pants and more. That pair of jeans you’re wearing took over 2,800 gallons of water to produce, so come learn how to get the most out of them! Attendees will also have the chance to win a sewing kit and a backpack rain cover made from upcycled materials.
