A 15-mile bird count paddle on Peach Creek, Caney Creek, and the East Fork of the San Jacinto River. We will meet at 7:00 a.m. at the entrance to Lake Houston Wilderness Park on FM 1495 and head down to the Caney Creek Canoe Launch, which is actually on Peach Creek. This is an out-and-back trip, so no need to shuttle. We will count birds along the creeks and on the back sloughs. This is usually a very pleasant, unhurried event, in a very pretty part of the upper Lake Houston watershed.
