Loam Agronomics Volunteer Day
Richmond, TX 77406
USA
Loam Agronomics‘ first volunteer day at the farm will be Saturday, August 5, 2017, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. The first year’s weeds are tough on any sustainable vegetable farm, but the Gulf Coast’s summer weeds are the most insidious around. They have some crops that are experiencing significant weed pressure and could really use your help to get them cleaned up. The day will start at 9:00 AM sharp with a farm tour, so please be on time. Weeding will commence shortly thereafter and they’ll hope to get a significant portion of their peppers, eggplant and okra weeded.
You will be provided water and some shade tents as well as excellent conversation. Bring a resilient summer spirit, sun protection (hats!) sturdy closed-toe shoes, and something to drink out of. As a thank you for all your hard work, you will go home with some farm-fresh veggies. They need you to RSVP if you plan on coming out, so we know how many boxes to prepare.
