KPC’s First Friday Volunteer Day

Join the Katy Prairie Conservancy for a day of volunteering on the prairie. Volunteers play a tremendous role with helping to protect and preserve the prairie. First Fridays are a great way for you to connect with nature and other passionate volunteers. Activities vary each month but may include invasive species removal, native prairie planting, or seed collecting.

Meeting Location: Shrike Prairie (next to the Matt Cook Memorial Wildlife Viewing Platform). Visit katyprairie.org for directions.

KPC will provide all necessary supplies, but please bring water and wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and a hat (optional). No seed collecting experience is necessary to participate.
