Learn the fundamentals of kayaking, then take a guided paddling tour.

NOTE:  This program will be videotaped for use on social media and possibly the TPWD PBS television show.

They recommend wearing water-tolerant shoes and a hat, and make sure you bring a water bottle.

There are a limited number of kayaks, so reservations are required. Contact the park store at 936-365-2201 x2060, or email joel.janssen@tpwd.texas.gov to reserve a spot.  Please note: reservations are not valid until you receive confirmation from Ranger Joel that we have reserved your slot.

Kayak with a Ranger will take place at the shelter boat ramp.  Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled launch time or your spot may be given to someone on the wait list.

Regular park admission fees of $5 per adult ages 13 and up apply; no additional charge for activities.

Kayaks, paddles, and life jackets are provided by Lake Livingston State Park.
