Introduction to Digital Organizing for Union & Community Activists
2506 Sutherland St
Houston, TX 77023
USA
Has your organization been trying to figure how best to use digital organizing strategies and tactics to strengthen the organizing work you do? Then this is the training for you.
The workshop is aimed at those who have organizing experience but little to no digital experience. Every session is hands on. You’ll work on how to apply the digital tools you’re learning to real situations, like getting members to call a legislator, come to a membership meeting, donate money, and win public support for your issue.
The training will be conducted by Beth Becker of Becker Digital Strategies. Beth brings 20+ years of communication and marketing background to politics where she has consulted for numerous House campaigns, non profits and unions. Beth travels the country doing 2 and 3 day digital organizing trainings and working with clients on implementing a digital strategy that respects their organizational goals. For more info on Beth, visit the New Leaders Council or Netroots Nation.
The training is co-sponsored by the Texas Gulf Coast Area Labor Federation, AFL-CIO and the New Leaders Council Houston. Space is limited to 50 members of AFL-CIO affiliated unions and allied organizations.
Register now for this workshop for August 28-29, 2017.
