Rain barrels are an efficient, low-cost, low-maintenance method for collecting rainwater. They are placed at downspouts in order to reduce runoff and flooding, conserve freshwater, and reduce pollution reaching Galveston Bay via storm drains. Rain barrels can be used for watering a garden or houseplants, washing a car, and much more!

Registration is required and costs $35. This includes one rain barrel and connector kit — the cheapest in town! You will also have free admission to the zoo, so once the workshop is over you are welcome to spend the day hanging out with the wildlife! Spaces are limited, so register today at www.galvbay.org/rainbarrel.
