Hit Me with Your SunShot Photo Entry Deadline
Are you into photography? If so, the Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy has an exciting opportunity for you to win up to $2,500 in prizes.
SunShot Initiative launched the “Hit Me with Your SunShot†photo contest in an effort to collect the best photos that contain solar energy technologies. Winning entries will be featured on SunShot’s webpage and in other collateral from the office.
In addition to the $500 grand prize for the best overall photo, $250 prizes will be awarded to the best photos in eight categories, including solar installation, solar hardware and power electronics, and university research. See the full list of categories here. Submissions will be judged by Simon Edelman, Chief Creative Officer for the Department of Energy, and Dennis Schroeder, a photographer at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Colorado.
All professional and amateur photographers are encouraged to submit their photos. Photos submitted must be taken in the United States and be an original work of the person submitting. All photos must be submitted by August 17. The winners will be announced no later than August 31.
