Harris County Hazard Mitigation Planning Meeting

Harris County and participating jurisdictions are working to update the Harris County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Action Plan (MH-MAP). The Plan identifies natural hazards affecting Harris County and carious mitigation strategies and actions to lessen the impact of disasters.

Harris County has established a Steering Committee that is multi-disciplined and represents the entire Planning Partnership to update the Harris County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Action Plan. The Steering Committee will meet bi-monthly through the course of this update process.

The Steering Committee meetings are open to the public. Residents, neighboring communities, and stakeholders are invited to participate in the plan update. Public comments will be received at the Steering Committee meeting.
