The Houston-Galveston Area Council’s May Brown Bag Lunch will feature a presentation called “Port of Houston: Looking Ahead” by Richard Bymes, the Port’s Chief Infrastructure Officer.

Richard Byrnes leads a multi-functional group tasked with supporting public transportation and trade needs of the region, enabling an efficient and effective base for Port operations. The Infrastructure team’s responsibilities include Facilities and Master Planning, Strategic Asset Management, Project & Construction Management, the non-federal role in Houston Ship Channel Development, Freight Mobility, and Environmental Affairs.
Byrnes’ career spans engineering, operations, and consulting across transportation, oil & gas and shipbuilding industries, work with Fortune 100 corporations, and state-owned enterprises and governments on every continent.
