Please join the Gulf of Mexico Climate Community of Practice as we share information on red tides in the Gulf of Mexico.  Guest speakers for this webinar include Dr. Quay Dortch, Acting Program Manager with NOAA’s Prevention, Control, and Mitigation of Harmful Algal Blooms Program and Coordinator for NOAA’s Ecology and Oceanography of Harmful Algal Blooms Program and Dr. Lisa Campbell, Director of the Flow Cytometry Facility and Professor in the Department of Oceanography at Texas A&M University.

 
Webinar objectives include:
Understand what a red tide is, including causes of red tides and their impacts.
Learn how red tide events are monitored in the Gulf of Mexico.
Discuss the impacts of climate stressors on red tide events.
