Garden Photography
Backyard and public gardens are in full bloom year-round in the Houston area and beckon us to get out and photograph! Grand images of whole gardens or macro images of a single water drop on a bloom can be captured with a few simple techniques. This course is designed for students with digital SLR cameras who know the basics of camera operation. We will cover lenses, composition, getting close, and metering basics. Class schedule: about 90 minutes of indoor activity and 1 hour of outdoor photography, depending on the weather. Wear walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Instructor bio: Kathy Adams Clark has been a professional nature photographer since 1995. Her photos have been published in numerous magazines, books, and calendars including the New York Times, Birder’s World, and TPWD Texas Highways.
