Join the Houston Chapter of the Houston Native Prairies Association of Texas (HNPAT) this Saturday, September 30, 2017, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM for their Fall Prairie Day on Lawther-Deer Park Prairie! This amazing piece of near-pristine prairie was saved from development as a result of an amazing fundraising drive by Bayou Land Conservancy (BLC) in August of 2013 that raised the $4 million in a matter of weeks, thanks to donations that came in from all over the country. HNPAT will be hosting tours, holding plant, animal and insect surveys throughout the day, serving lunch and just generally enjoying the prairie! Registration link -  https://docs.google.com/for
