Join us at the brand new Delores Fenwick Nature Center located at 5750 Magnolia Street in Pearland. Bring binoculars and walking shoes to search for cormorants and spoonbills in the spectacular birding ponds from 4 – 5 p.m. If you have children, there’s a special program for them starting at 4:00 p.m. At 5:00 p.m., Cullen Ondracek (Natural Resources Manager) and Katie Boughal (Park Naturalist and Educator) will introduce us to the center and their new programs. They are conveniently located right next to the Stella Roberts Recycling Center and a wastewater treatment facility, which are available for later tours. Come see how they are Keeping Pearland Beautiful!

Refreshments:

Refreshments are potluck; bring something to share with one another. Don’t let the fact that this is potluck deter you from attending…even if you don’t bring something to eat/drink, we want to see you there. Please consider bringing something that fits into one or more of the following categories:

  • Fresh and/or raw
  • Homemade
  • Locally sourced
  • Homegrown
  • From a farmers’ market of similar
  • Tasty (just as important as sustainable)

Please bring your own reuseable cups and/or water bottles. Because the Center is located inside a city park, there can be no pets, alcoholic beverages, or smoking in the building, grounds, or parking lots.

Other things to consider bringing:

  • A friend or colleague
  • Resources to share with the group, such as pamphlets, calendars, spare funding to share
