Currently, more than 80 percent of stream miles within the Houston-Galveston region fail to meet state water quality standards or screening criteria for one or more parameters, with bacteria impairment being the most common.
State and local partners are working to address these issues using watershed-based plans. But how do these plans get created? And do these plans ultimately improve water quality?
Join the Houston-Galveston Area Council for a Clean Waters Initiative workshop on Tuesday, September 26, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Houston-Galveston Area Council, Conference Rooms B and C (second floor) to learn more about these plans and how they can help protect the region’s waters. Be sure to register to guarantee your seat at this free workshop.
