Birdathon Workshop

Birdathon is a team-birding fundraising event that started back in 1981 and continues to grow each year. Teams are typically made of (4) participants. Teams compete to count as many bird species as possible in a 24-hour period and raise money much like a marathon.
Birdathon is Houston Audubon’s fun way to promote conservation. We encourage you to form a team and go out birding for a consecutive 24 hours (or less) and count as many bird species as you can. Birding can be done anywhere in Texas but we encourage you to visit our sanctuaries for a great birding experience!
We hope you will attend to learn more about making the best out of Birdathon 2017. Whether you are a seasoned or beginning birder, whether you have a team or not, there is something for everyone to learn. Refreshments and a registration gift will be provided.
