The old adage of “reuse, reduce, recycle†continues for its fifth year at the University of Houston, as the Office of Sustainability and its partner, Bass Computer Recycling, are offering students, faculty and staff the means to consciously dispose of old and unused electronics.

In celebration of Earth Day, The Office of Sustainability at the University of Houston will host the 6th annual UH Sustainability Fest on campus. Sustainability Fest educates the UH campus community about sustainability initiatives on campus and in the Greater Houston region. UH strive to educate students—who are trailblazers in the making—to become mindful, resourceful, and sustainability-driven global citizens. The City of Houston comes to the Kingwood twice a year to collect BOPA (Batteries, Oil, Paint, Anti-freeze) items. Come and recycle your rechargeable batteries, motor or cooking oil, old latex (water-based) paint buckets, antifreeze, scrap metal and major appliances.
