Join Urban Harvest for our first Spring Sunday Supper! Experience one-of-a-kind dishes when Houston’s top chefs partner with area farmers to create a fresh, seasonal supper benefiting Urban Harvest, a nonprofit organization that leads Houston’s local food movement. Sunday Supper at Weights + Measures will feature a group of Houston’s notable chefs who have pledged to impress guests with creative combinations that speak to Urban Harvest’s mission of cultivating thriving communities through gardening and access to healthy, local food.

In partnership with chef Richard Kaplan of Weights + Measures, contributing chefs include Dawn Burrell of Kulture, Stephanie Hoban of Ripe Cuisine, Tony Luhrman of El Topo, Graham LaBorde of Killen’s, Bobby Matos of State of Grace, Kevin Naderi of Roost, and Soren Pedersen of Currant Kitchen.
The evening will also feature a live auction showcasing get-aways, party packages, unique dinners and more.
Proceeds benefit Urban Harvest.

Rotary e-Club of Houston & Vox Culture in honor of Rotary Wine Appreciation Fellowship and in loving memory of Martin Bailey invites you to an evening featuring a 6-course dinner paired with 6 different wines hand selected to enhance your culinary pallet. Â This fundraiser is dedicated to the Martin Bailey’s Garden at Wisdom High School. This project will provide Wisdom High School with a sustainable green space in the school that can produce resources to students including food, educational, and employment opportunities. Upon creation, it can also be used as a space for live teaching, while building agricultural, business skills, a sense of personal responsibility and opportunities for teamwork.
Take advantage of this lovely, laid back Chefs in the Field supper to come out and see what the Recipe for Success Foundation is up to at Hope Farms. On October 7, 2018, 6:30-9:30 p.m., four fantastic chefs will create a meal from produce harvested straight from the Foundation’s fields and heritage hogs from Jolie Vue Farms.
Start in the Chefs Garden with cocktails crafted with Tito’s Handmade Vodka and farm botanicals, along with tasty bites from their chefs. Then, gather round the harvest table for a parade of delicious courses matched with vintages from Monopole Wines and cold brews from St. Arnold.
Head to Eureka Heights Brewing Company for a fun evening of trivia benefiting the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center. 10% of all bar sales from the evening will go to support conservation and education initiatives at the Arboretum. All 6 rounds of trivia are free to play with 4 players per team. No registration required.
The trivia will be held on Oct. 10, 2018, 7-9 p.m., but the Tap Room opens at 4 p.m. so feel free to come by early for a drink.Â
Get together a team of friends, coworkers, or clients and enjoy a game of golf – all to support the Arboretum’s vital conservation and educational programs. Registration includes a golf cart, green fees, player gifts, snacks, and lunch provided by Beck’s Prime. Advance registration is required.

Join the Cullinan Park Conservancy in their annual fundraising event Friday, October 19, 2018 in the River Pointe Church Auditorium. hear stories from adventurer and world record holder, Mike Matson, who has completed a voyage across the Atlantic in a three-man rowboat and who plans to soon set out across the Pacific. Aperitivo cocktails, stationed hors d’oeuvres, and gourmet pizza al fresco will be served! Open to the public, the AIA Houston Home Tour showcases the finest residential architecture in the Houston area, as designed by licensed architects. Houses are chosen to showcase a variety of design styles demonstrating that excellence in design is not limited by size or dollars.
