Test your wits and knowledge against your colleagues while making a meaningful contribution to your profession. Join the Texas Architects Commitee (TAC) as an individual or come as a team. If you’re registering as a team, only 1 team member needs to register per team. Teams of 4-6 will compete for prizes in various trivia categories. A $25/participant contribution to TAC paid at the event gains entry and three raffle tickets. Light food and drinks are provided. Migration Celebration is held annually in April in southern Brazoria County, Texas, sponsored by the Friends of the Brazoria Wildlife Refuges in cooperation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Texas Mid-Coast National Wildlife Refuge Complex. The Kickoff Dinner will be held on Apr. 13, 2018, and the 24th Annual Migration Celebration will be held on Apr. 21 and 22.
Migration Celebration activities are centered on the San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge but formally starts with a fundraising dinner and featured speaker at Freeport RiverPlace located in the Freeport Municipal Park.
Migration Celebration’s events and presentations are designed for the introductory level but still keeps some focus on birds with our Birds of Prey programs and the San Bernard Oak Trail tours.
With the exception of fundraising activities, all other Migration Celebration events, tours, presentations, and other activities are free to the public. This is made possible by the generous donations of time and money by our sponsors, partner organizations, and volunteers.

Please join Recipe for Success for our inaugural Chefs in the Field Supper at Hope Farms. They will begin with a wine reception in Chefs Kitchen Garden and then gather around a communal table set among the fields, where chefs Jean-Philippe Gaston, Greg Martin, and Ryan Pera will present a three-course meal crafted from their harvest and local makers.

The Conservancy’s annual gala, Evening in the Park, will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. This annual spring event raises funds that help the Conservancy continue to improve and maintain Hermann Park through daily volunteer and stewardship programs.
The event begins with cocktails along the Jones Reflection Pool followed by dinner beside McGovern Lake in an elegant outdoor setting. The evening ends with dessert and dancing.

Experience one-of-a-kind dishes when Houston’s top chefs partner with area farmers to create a fresh, seasonal supper benefiting Urban Harvest, a nonprofit organization that leads Houston’s local food movement. Sunday Supper at Weights + Measures will feature a group of Houston’s notable chefs who have pledged to impress guests with creative combinations that speak to Urban Harvest’s mission of cultivating thriving communities through gardening and access to healthy, local food.
