Geared towards attendees with an intermediate to high level of knowledge about buildings and sustainability issues, AIA Houston welcomes presentations focused on how design and construction can engage the community and foster human relationships, both professional and personal. They welcome presentations related to social justice, the public realm, placemaking, and compassionate design from urban to residential scales. In addition, AIA Houston also seeks technical presentations focusing on infrastructure, systems and systems thinking.

The wind industry was founded by visionaries and continues to embody an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit. And the industry has always recognized the value of working together with partners that help drive our agenda forward. As we move toward the 2020s, wind energy will continue to thrive through collaboration with technology, other sources of clean and traditional energy, policy makers, innovators, farmers and ranchers, rural communities, big cities, and the list goes on. Building on the WIND+ theme for 2019, WINDPOWER provides a variety of educational opportunities.
The 2019 North American Prairie Conference will draw some of the brightest minds in prairie conservation, restoration, education, and communications from Texas, the Southeast, and the Midwest. Keynote and featured speakers include:

The coastal prairie community is extremely excited that the 25th biennial North American Prairie Conference (NAPC) is coming to Texas, only for the second time since the conference was founded in 1968. The NAPC is America’s oldest and most celebrated native grassland gathering.
