On March 31, 2019, from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m., the Coastal Prairie Partnership and the Native Prairies Association of Texas will host a workshop for prairie plant gardening and milkweed propagation. It will be taught by Mark Morgenstern of Morning Star Prairie Plants and Barbara Willy of Monarch Gateway. The workshop will be at the Brazos Bend State Park Dining Hall, 21901 FM 762, in Needville. Join Katy Prairie Conservancy for a workshop on planting for pollinators. Even in their yards, individuals can make a big difference for local wildlife by planting a handful of native plants. Local expert Susie Marten will share information on the importance of native plants for pollinators and tips on choosing and planting native plants in your own garden or yard. Native plants will available for purchase, and each attendee will receive a free plant. Recommended for adults. Registration required.

The Texas Watershed Steward program is a free, educational workshop designed to help watershed residents improve and protect their water resources by getting involved in local watershed protection and management activities.

H-GAC’s Solid Waste Program is reimagining its past roundtable-style meetings into a new Solid Waste Workshop Series. This format will offer a more in-depth look at select solid waste topics, resulting in greater value for attendees.
