Join Urban Harvest for the largest one-day sale in the country. Over 4,000 trees in 100 varieties will be available for their annual Fruit Tree Sale event. All trees have been specifically chose for the Houston soil and climate. This family-friendly event also features the Green Thumbs Education Pavilion presented by Kroger, live music and food trucks for a festival-like experience. All proceeds will benefit Urban Harvest. Volunteering opportunities are also available.

The annual Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) Third Coast Conference is an opportunity for new and experienced CCL volunteers alike to learn, practice skills, inspire each other, and strategize how to move our country toward solving climate change. Conference participants will:

• Explore strategies for bridging the political divide
• Learn how to engage Congress effectively
• Hear from energy and carbon pricing leaders
• Examine opportunities that carbon pricing offers the Gulf Coast

Come outfit your classroom with Zoo activities! Resources and strategies for all grade levels will be offered. Registration includes admission to the Zoo, free resources, activities and much more. Credit hours are offered in three or six hour increments.

The Farmers’ Market is located in the parking lot at Grasshopper Ln. and Grisby Rd. in Grisby Square at Highway 6 and IH-10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday.

The Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce will continue to host the popular Farmers Market at the new Matlage Way location, now in its 7^thyear! The market features fresh seasonal produce from local farmers, grass fed meats, free range chickens and eggs, local honey, small batch foods and bakery items.  Visitors can browse the art from local artisans and try delicious ready to eat food from booths and popular food trucks while listening to the best local musicians.
