Farmers Market Houston

The Energy Corridor Farmers’ Market is a project of the Energy Corridor District®, a special district and a political subdivision of the State of Texas. It is the mission of the Energy Corridor Farmers Market to provide residents and visitors of the Energy Corridor District and West Houston with access to locally grown and seasonal fresh foods, to provide a community gathering place, promote relationships with food producers and artisans, encourage local food production in and surrounding the Houston area, and educate the community about the nutritional health and culinary benefits of consuming locally-grown and seasonal fresh foods and to encourage home cooking and family meals.

The Energy Corridor Farmers’ Market is open every Saturday 9am – 1pm.

Farmers Market at Imperial Sugar Land @ Imperial Park Recreation Center

Imperial Farmers MarketThe Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce will continue to host the popular Farmers Market at the new Matlage Way location, now in its 7thyear! The market features fresh seasonal produce from local farmers, grass fed meats, free range chickens and eggs, local honey, small batch foods and bakery items.  Visitors can browse the art from local artisans and try delicious ready to eat food from booths and popular food trucks while listening to the best local musicians.

Webelos – Into the Woods @ Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve

Join staff Naturalists in completing the requirements for the Webelos Into the Woods adventure workbook. Registration required at www.hcp4.net/tapevents.

Precinct 4’s Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve is an 80-acre property featuring Marshall Lake, which spans approximately 40 acres, plus a staff building, paved roads and parking lots, restroom facilities, and 1.7 miles of trails.

Plant It Forward Farm Stand @ University of St. Thomas - Farm

IMG_20160312_110246 smPlant It Forward farms are selling fresh produces directly on-the-farm at their neighborhood Farm Stands. You can stop by during Farm Stand hours to buy freshly harvested produce from your friendly neighborhood farmer.

If you’d like to stop by and see one of their farms, Plant It Forward recommends that you visit during Farm Stand hours and meet one of their farmers.

Sewing Historical Costumes @ Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center

Discover how to accurately interpret clothing from several decades of the 1800s. Learn how to sew your own costume and make your own 1830s bonnet. Bring your own sewing kit. Reservations required beginning Feb. 28, 2018. Ages 8+.

All Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center program requiring reservations are limited in size and open to one family per phone call. Group reservations are not allowed unless otherwise indicated. Preferential reservations are given to Harris County residents. Persons not residing in Harris County may attend a space-limited program if spaces are available. All programs and events are free of charge unless otherwise noted and open to the public regardless of socioeconomic level, race, color, sex, physical ability, national origin, or religion. Anyone requiring special assistance to participate in these programs should contact the nature center. Programs meet at the Nature Center unless otherwise noted. Farmers Market at Bridgeland

The market is a monthly gathering of high-quality vendors bringing fresh local produce, pastured meats, free-range eggs, goat cheese, honey, jellies, pasta, pickles, live plants, natural home & pet products, soaps, lotions, and much more right to your neighborhood!

The market is located in the parking lot adjacent to the Activity Center in the community of Bridgeland.

Due to local regulations, no pets are allowed inside the market, where food and samplings are provided.
