Saturday, January 20th, 2018Â is the largest volunteer event of the year at Memorial Park! Join Memorial Park Conservancy, Trees for Houston, and Houston Parks and Recreation Department in planting hundreds of native trees along the Park’s Eastern border.
Volunteers can sign up here and must review the waiver prior to signing up.
Join the SCA and HPARD’s Natural Resources Management Program for this volunteer tree planting event. The Milby Park restoration project on Sims Bayou began in the spring of 2017. Volunteers and SCA crews planted approximately 2,000 trees, but help is needed to continue planting and to replace trees that have died. To register, please email Naturalresources@houstontx.gov.
To register, visit haufc.org/events.

Join the many volunteers helping to plant a total of 1,000 trees in each section of Exploration Green. Snacks, water, and tools will be provided as well as planting training. Bring gloves, wear sturdy shoes/boots, and plan to get dirty!
Parking: The closest parking lot for tree planting events is located at 16203 Diana Lane, Houston, TX 77062.

On Mar. 24, Apr. 14 and 21 and May 5 and 19, 2018, from 9:00 am to noon, come plant the shores of Exploration Green Nature Park’s new lake. The wetland will cleanse stormwater and provide habitat for aquatic animals in the lake (which is, in fact, a nationally known flood control basin). Have fun while helping to improve water quality and create habitat! All are welcome to take part in expanding the wetland we’ve been growing and planting with the community, going on the third year. Children are welcome to participate with family members.
Wear clothes and shoes that can get wet and muddy. Tools will be provided.
Parking is at 16203 Diana Ln, Houston, TX 77062.
