The Small Firm Roundtable meets monthly on the third Thursday of each month at 4:00 PM.  This group provides a closed forum for dialogue among peers and a venue to support architects who have recently branched out on their own, have a growing firm, or are considering starting their own businesses.  Meetings consist of focused conversation and invaluable insights on important issues and practices.

Parks and Natural Areas logoJoin the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) for the Parks and Natural Areas (PNA) Roundtable on Monday, March 12, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at H-GAC Conference Room A, Second Floor. The PNA Roundtable is open to anyone interested in participating.

The topic of the meeting is Maintenance and Beyond. Speakers will discuss parks as flood mitigation and park maintenance before and after large-scale events. H-GAC staff will discuss upcoming PNA activities. A roundtable discussion will follow the presentations.

The PNA Roundtable serves as a forum for discussion of issues related to parks and natural areas, promotes the PNA Award Program, and maintains a regional inventory of parks. The PNA roundtable facilitates information exchange and planning efforts between various stakeholders and collaborators to protect and preserve parks and natural areas across the region.

What is QuailMasters?

A series of intensive, hands-on training sessions designed to expose participants to the best of the best quail habitat in the state of Texas and make them ‘masters’ of the art and science of quail management. Quail-Masters will enhance your decision-making skills relative to 3 phases of quail management.

Session I: April 22-24, Roby

Includes most meals and classroom materials.  Lodging, travel and some resource material are the student’s responsibility.

 

Requirements for Participation

QuailMasters is a prestigious, intensive program, and we expect 110% of our participants. As a ‘fledgling’ QuailMaster, you will be expected to attend all four sessions of the Quail-Masters program.

Bringing Back Main Street Roundtables and Workshops @ City of Liberty Council Chambers

The Bringing Back Main Street initiative offers local communities a place to share best practices and engage in a regional dialogue about revitalizing and supporting vibrant downtown spaces. Each quarter, community leaders gather for a roundtable on topics ranging from small business support to sidewalk infrastructure. These ongoing roundtables add to the knowledge shared during a 2015 workshop series.

Revitalization Roundtables

H-GAC hosts quarterly roundtables to help local governments, chambers of commerce, and economic development interests promote the economic and revitalization of downtown areas.
