Pearland Earth Day Celebration @ Southdown Park

Keep Pearland Beautiful and the City of Pearland- Parks and Recreation Department are partnering to host Keep Pearland Beautiful’s Twenty-third Annual Earth Day Celebration. More than 800 people, including a number of local dignitaries, have attended each of the last twenty fairs.

Businesses and organizations are encouraged to target their environmental messaging towards children and their families. Each booth or activity space is FREE and must have an environmental theme that fits into KPB’s mission to empower Pearland Citizens to take responsibility for their environment or our vision to make Pearland the cleanest most beautiful city in Texas.

This is an outdoors event. Please provide your own table, chairs and canopy. If you are interested in hosting a booth, or an activity, register today.

Water Works Festival @ Levy Park

This year’s theme is “Careers in STREAM” based on Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math. The event is expected to draw over 50 sponsors and exhibitors sharing a variety of careers in both the public and private water and waste water sectors. The event will also educate the community regarding the City’s high-quality drinking water, our drinking water supply and treatment system, water conservation and efficiency initiatives, waste water treatment system, Corral the Grease Program and other sanitary sewer overflow prevention methods.

Creation Care Fest/Environmental Extravaganza @ Faith Lutheran Church

You are invited to the 2019 Creation Care Fest – Environmental Extravaganza! This free event is actually three events in one:  lectures by expert speakers on The State of Our World, an exhibit by local environmental organizations, and a family-friendly festival with kids’ activities such as games, crafts, encounters with live education animals, seed planting (to take home & watch grow!) and much more. Here you can experience the adrenaline of kayaking wild rivers, climbing the highest peaks, and trekking across the globe with adventure films from around the world. You’ll witness how individuals and communities across the globe are taking action.

BLC hopes to use the festival to increase a better community understanding of the connection we share with the planet and our role as stewards to keep it healthy for the next generations.
