Houston Audubon Nature Photography Association (HANPA) is an informal photo club for Houston Audubon members. They hold meetings monthly, September through May, on the first Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary headquarters library.
Hawks, falcons, owls and more await you at Houston Audubon’s Raptor Photo Shoots. You will have the opportunity to photograph Houston Audubon’s education raptors in an intimate setting at the Houston Audubon Raptor & Education Center. Whether you use a simple point and shoot or serious photography equipment, you will enjoy meeting and learning about these awesome birds. Light refreshments will be served on the deck for all to enjoy during the shoot. Space is limited to 15 participants.

Join Urban Harvest for the largest one-day sale in the country. Over 4,000 trees in 100 varieties will be available for their annual Fruit Tree Sale event. All trees have been specifically chose for the Houston soil and climate. This family-friendly event also features the Green Thumbs Education Pavilion presented by Kroger, live music and food trucks for a festival-like experience. All proceeds will benefit Urban Harvest. Volunteering opportunities are also available.

The kiosk at Boy Scout Woods opens on Friday, March 29 and closes on Sunday, May 5. Many activities are planned, including:
- Birding walks – 3 times/day (Apr. 4 – 29)
- Photography walks (Apr. 4-29)
- Bird-friendly plant sale (Apr. 1 until sold out)
- Land Sea & Sky binoculars – weekends in April
- Flight in Focus – 2-day photography event (Apr. 6-7)

Join us for the Arboretum’s largest Spring Plant Sale ever! This year we are partnering up with Houston Audubon and the Houston Parks & Recreation Department to offer you an even wider variety of native plants. As usual, we will be selling native grasses, flowers (including milkweed), shrubs, and trees – perfect for attracting butterflies, bees, and other pollinators to your yard or garden.
Plants are priced as follows:
- $4.50 – 4 inch
- $9 – 1 gallon
- $12 – Milkweed
- $30 – 3-5 gallon
Arboretum Members receive a 10-25% discount (depending on Membership level) on all plant sale purchases!

Help us wrap up day one of this exciting Plant Sale by enjoying a beverage with us! Sip on Saint Arnold brews as you plan your spring garden and pick out your plants. If you’re an Arboretum Member, or become one that day, the first beer is on us!
Location: The Spring Plant Sale will be located just inside the 610 Entrance gate on the south side of the entrance road (the yellow star on the map). Shoppers are asked to park along the 610 Parking Loop and then walk over to the sale. There will be a small pull in area at the Plant Sale for people to load their plant purchases.

WILDSCAPES WORKSHOP
Wildscapes Workshop, a one-day, not-to-be-missed educational event and local native plant sale. This year’s event will involve featured speakers providing up-to-date information on the relationship between native plants and our local wildlife and environment, and Houston’s prairie history, culture, and its future.
Wildscapes Workshop benefits local native plant gardens, grants, and scholarships.
NPSOT promotes research, conservation, and utilization of native plants and habitats through education, outreach, and example.

The native plant sale will be open to luncheon attendees Friday, October 18th at the Pearland First United Methodist Church Family Life Center, (2314 N. Grand, Pearland, TX  77581) when the Doors open at 10:30 AM.  The native and adaptive plant sale continues for the duration of the luncheon ending around 1:30PM.
