Arboretum’s Spring Break Camp (4-12) @ Houston Arboretum & Nature Center
Mar 11 – Mar 15 all-day

Naturalists use a variety of tools to explore the natural world, but most rely on the tools we are all born with: our senses! Children will explore their own senses and then discover which animals taste through their feet, which have natural radar, which can locate prey by sensing heat, and which have eyes that contain 30,000 lenses. Join the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center for a week of sensory exploration.

Each camp-day will be from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. BNC’s Spring Break Camp is dedicated for students grade 4-6. Registration begins Feb. 1, 2019.

Plant-Based Burger Bar & Potluck @ First Unitarian Universalist Church of Houston
Oct 7 @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

This Plant-Based Burger Bar/Potluck kicks off a week long awareness campaign for animal rights and veganism. We are featuring Animal activist/author Ed Winters, Musical guest Strands of Compassion, and a sermon by D. Scott Cooper.

We hope to find likeminded community members whose beliefs resonate with that of First UU of Houston as well as informing our own community to the Environmental, Health, and Ethical importance of transitioning to a plant-based, vegan lifestyle.

Please join us for some free food, and conversation.
