Different Themes each week
Morning: 8:30 am – 11:30 am
Afternoon: 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm
Full Day Session: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
A typical day at camp blends nature exploration with active outdoor experiences under the guidance of knowledgeable educators. Campers learn more about the natural world through: Fishing, Canoeing, Pond Exploration, Insect Collecting, Bird Watching, Hiking, Dip Netting, Arts and Crafts, Live Animal Presentations and Camp Games. The camp counselors divide the children into small groups by age where they will participate in exciting, age appropriate hands-on activities.

Location:Â The Water Works at Buffalo Bayou Park (105 Sabine St.)
Enjoy a free walking tour in Buffalo Bayou Park highlighting the landscape and ecology of 19th century Texas that created Houston, as well as the importance of prairies in rebuilding this astonishing and all but vanished ecosystem.
You’re invited to join #RunBuffaloBayou, hosted by Buffalo Bayou Partnership! The group will be led by marathoners Monica Esqueda and Saurabh Chaugule every Thursday evening along the trails of Buffalo Bayou Park.
Take in the beauty of Houston’s award-winning green space while you learn helpful running tips from experts and meet other Buffalo Bayou runners. Two different routes will be offered, a 3-mile and 5-mile route, and everyone from beginner to experienced runners are welcome.
Meet in front of The Water Works Visitor Center (105 Sabine Street) at 6:45pm every Thursday. The group will take off at 7pm.

Enjoy a walk along the leafy, shaded trails at Burroughs Park. Please wear outdoor- appropriate clothing, closed-toe shoes, and bring a refillable water bottle. Face coverings recommended.
