EcoCamp is for children ages 4 to 13 years old for 5 days. (Each five-day session starts on Monday, through August 3, 2020.

Summer EcoCamp 2020
Different Themes each week
Morning: 8:30 am – 11:30 am
Afternoon: 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm
Full Day Session: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm

A typical day at camp blends nature exploration with active outdoor experiences under the guidance of knowledgeable educators. Campers learn more about the natural world through: Fishing, Canoeing, Pond Exploration, Insect Collecting, Bird Watching, Hiking, Dip Netting, Arts and Crafts, Live Animal Presentations and Camp Games. The camp counselors divide the children into small groups by age where they will participate in exciting, age appropriate hands-on activities.

Plant It For The Planet @ Dennis Johnston Park

Trees not only help provide wildlife habitat, they help prevent soil erosion and reduce urban heat and noise pollution. Make a positive environmental impact by helping plant native trees and riparian plants along the Spring Creek Greenway. Bring a shovel, work gloves, and a refillable water bottle and get ready to make a difference! Dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes. Face coverings required.

A Texas Sized Arbor Day Tree Planting Extravaganza!

Be a Texas-Sized Arbor Day Tree Planting Extravaganza Volunteer!  Join Mercer arborist Laura Medick on Friday, November 5 and Saturday, November 6 between 8 – 11 a.m. and 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. each day.  Five to six volunteers will assist in 3-hour shifts, to help monitor the tree planting process and  distribute water to ensure tree planters stay hydrated.

Houston Arbor Day with Bayou Land Conservancy @ Kickerillo-Mischer Park
