Help restore the prairie by potting and planting native plants and forbs every Friday, rain or shine. You do not need to attend every Friday.

Children’s Story Hour @ The Family Garden in the McGovern Centennial Gardens

The Jones-Bender, Judy Overby Bell and Spring Creek Greenway trails are open for bicycling. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

All Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center programs and events are free of charge unless otherwise noted and open to the public regardless of socioeconomic level, race, color, sex, physical ability, national origin, or religion. Anyone requiring special assistance to participate in these programs should contact the nature center. Programs meet at the Nature Center unless otherwise noted. Solid shoes are recommended. Chimney Rock Market @ Chimney Rock Plaza

Chimney Rock Market is an outdoor market that features local artists and farmers. Beginning on Feb. 18, 2018, are open the first Sunday of each month.

Habitat Work Days @ NOA I Bldg, UHCL

There are many opportunities for you to get involved with EIH’s WaterSmart Habitat. Whether you’re looking for community service hours, or just a change of pace. Habitat volunteers help weed and mulch flower beds, plant native plants, maintain pathways, and trim trees and bushes. Volunteers may also help clean out the pond on select work days.

Volunteering at EIH is a great way to get your organization involved in the community. Please call in advance if you have a large group or if you would like to schedule your group on a different day. Plant It Forward Farm Stand @ Plant It Forward Warehouse

Plant It Forward farms are selling fresh produces directly on-the-farm at their neighborhood Farm Stands. You can stop by during Farm Stand hours to buy freshly harvested produce from your friendly neighborhood farmer.
