Historic Houston’s Salvage Warehouse (Members Only) @ Salvage Warehouse

All of the material at Historic Houston’s Salvage Warehouse has been reclaimed from historic houses that Historic Houston has deconstructed, as well as individual items that have been brought to our Salvage Warehouse.  The Salvage Warehouse, now located at 1200 National, has become a regional resource for reclaimed building materials serving an 11 county region of Southeast Texas. Materials at the Salvage Warehouse include, but are not limited to, reclaimed wood flooring, windows and screens, interior/exterior doors and hardware, interior/exterior siding, paneling, and millwork, lumber, bath and kitchen fixtures, cabinetry, and exterior ironwork.

Salvage Warehouse is open to members on the first and third Saturdays. No appointments needed on Saturdays.

Due to limited staffing during the week, current members can chop at the Salvage Warehouse by appointment Tuesday – Friday between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Members can schedule an appointment by calling 713-553-7035.

2018 KBR Kids Day @ Guadalupe Plaza Park

KBR Kids Day is one of Buffalo Bayou Partnership’s (BBP) signature events, with thousands of children and their families in attendance each year. Activity stations will include numerous hands-on activities from over 20 Houston partners, local entertainment and performers, Dia de los Muertos face painters, balloon artists, a rock climbing wall, and so much more! Cultivated Cocktails @ Southside Place Community Garden

Join Urban Harvest for aperitivo cocktails, passed and stationed hors d’oeuvres, and gourmet pizza al fresco! Three of Houston’s top mixologists will create unique cocktails featuring fresh ingredients – each with an Italian twist. Pick your favorite with a generous tip! A cocktail winner will be named at the end of the evening. All tips will support both Urban Harvest and Southside Place Community Garden. Roman street-food-inspired pizzas by Pizza Motus. Blackwood Harvest Hoedown @ Blackwood Educational Land Institute

Blackwood LandBlackwood Land is delighted to announce the first-annual Blackwood Harvest Hoedown, an immersive farm experience celebrating land, food, and community. Hoedown guests will enjoy curated classes and demonstrations from vendors (for adults and youth alike) as well as strolling through the Harvest Market to shop a variety of local goods.  A farm-fresh lunch is included, followed by a keynote presentation and musical performances. Adults can enjoy crafted beer and specialty wines in the Bier Garten while the Kid Zone provides a supervised area with activities for young explorers to have fun and learn about nature.
